The Naked Poodle at Marcom 2009

What is The Naked Poodle?
Per round, creative teams challenge each other to conquer a pressing issue. Meanwhile they are aided, agitated, rushed, confronted, interrogated and challenged by influentials. These renown writers, designers, directors, architects and other gurus barge through the mosh pit from one team to the other. Big Brother cameras record the teams’ efforts and instantly send their images to the large screens, bringing the pressure to a boiling point. After exactly 30 minutes the computers shut down and all the work is automatically turned in. The teams then present their work. The audience will decide who is to win. The team that gets the biggest applause will be honored and introduced in the Naked Poodle Hall of Fame and will win the prestigious Pink Poodle award.

At Marcom this year, The Naked Poodle, the teams goal was to develop the brand new marketing model for 2009.

Mastermundo Book

The book is a supplement to Mastermundo Creative Gathering, held at September 27th 2008, where Jeroen van Erp, Werner Vogels, Max Kisman, Itay Talgam, Ethan Zuckerman, Rafi Haladjian, Laurent Haug, Fons Schiedon, Stefan Agamanolis, Alrik Koudenburg and Devon Reid shared their stories with an intimate group of 100 people, while travelling from the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam to the Spuiplein in The Hague.

It features contributions, like unique artwork, photo’s, poems, stories and other inspirational content by Aaron Koblin and Aaron Meyers, Anton Corbijn, Guido van Nispen, Jim Casper, Jeroen van Erp, Ethan Zuckerman, Devon Reid, Marc Boumeester, Erwin Blom, Max Kisman, Julien Arts, Martin Lorenz, Shayna Schapp, David Wieland, Yohan Creemers, Itay Talgam, Marco Bevolo, Joachim Baan, Hugo Verweij, Mattmo, Derek Cheshire, Jochem Leegstra, Kluun, Boris Veldhuijzen van Zanten, Corriëtte Schoenaerts, Michael Tchong, Daan Roosegaarde, Steven Burda, Jeroen Hofman, David Armano, Krijn van Noordwijk, Alek, Maurice Heesen, Maurice Mikkers, Mr. Pen and Marcel Kampman. And you can add yourself too.

The book is limited available, only 500 copies have been printed. Available for people who joined Mastermundo in 2007 and 2008 and the surrounding network.

Three is the magic number

Three is the magic number is a small publication within the Waacs goes camping project. It was written by Ivo Victoria and illustrated by Enkeling. It’s included in the book and was also distributed for free just before summer to all designer in the Netherlands as a nice summer read.

Made when I worked as creative director at Waacs Design & Consultancy.

World Press Photo 2004 documentary

For World Press Photo 2004, we created a documentary to be presented at the Award Ceremony. The documentary gives an insight in the judging procedings at World Press Photo where judges had to judge over 65,000 images.

This documentary for World Press Photo was created in a team while I worked as a senior designer at Mattmo.
