On Tuesday, 25 May international IT professionals and Amsterdam’s top creative talent got together for An Amsterdam PICNIC @ WCIT 2010. For PICNIC in September we’re looking into ways to make people meet each other. And to make meeting less scary. That, mixed with chatroulette became an idea to have a load of old phones hanging from the sky at two places, connected over a large distance, so you can talk to any stranger. What might

Today we spend test-shooting for the PICNIC10 communication. With Maurice Mikkers as the photographer and the PICNIC team as guinea pigs. And as usual it turned out great. More follows soon!
We had a great session with the LEMZ team to create the perfect PICNIC 2010. They prepared really really well, brought lots and lots of inspiration and fresh insights to the table, pure delight. Thanks guys!
PICNIC 2010 is shaping creatively. One thing is certain: it will be a different PICNIC for several reasons. New people working on it, a new approach and of course the 5th anniversary. The Idea Machine is a mash-up of ‘Ren je rot’, a pressure cooking brainstorm session, a circus, McGyver, The A-team, 24, Scrapheap challenge with a layer of show and enforced by technology.

Context
Everybody is talking about web 2.0, cross media, innovation, collaborative creativity and other buzzwords. We were really curious what
