Just returned from a mind blowing edition of LIFT in Geneva. It was a privilege to have been invited as a speaker to share the Project Dreamschool story there. And because of that, I met amazing people. If you have never been to LIFT, you should go the next edition. I shared the

Itay calls out for all musicians to join this edition of Mastermundo. Animation in the middle by 178.

Last Monday we made this video for all of you musicians out there, join Mastermundo 2009!

So great, the great 178 aardige ontwerpers created the posters for MM09. And, they’re working on a video just now. Ain’t they just great?

For Mastermundo 2008 I created a truly non-communication poster. Because we could. We only had 100 people participating, while we had requests for over 400. So we didn’t need a poster to get people to join. So I tried to beforehand visualize the kaleidoscopic experience, which I hoped people would have during the day. It’s

For Mastermundo, I created interactive bags so the participants could express their state to their surroundings. Mastermundo was a journey, traveling from the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, via train to The Hague crossing a lot of public spaces. It created some fun interactions with the participants and people on the street, wondering what that hurdle

For Mastermundo I wanted to make a simple, recognizable identity, that can built up modularly and is also easy to replicate by anybody. And since Mastermundo’s heritage is in the Pool of Masterminds of the study Interactive/Media/Design at the Royal Academy of Art (KABK), I also tried to link it to the visual identity from

On Saturday September 22nd the Royal Academy of Art (KABK)’s brand new study Interactive Media Design (I/M/D) will present Mastermundo at the TodaysArt festival. Twelve exceptional Masterminds from the Pool of Masterminds invite you to hear them speak about their passion. They will share their knowledge with those interested,

Mastermundo is an intimate, active and informal gathering where interesting people with a wide variety of backgrounds share ideas, stories, passions or something that they love/hate/do/did/know/care about/obsess over with a curious, engaged, interesting group of people. Regarding participants we are looking for people with a high level of interestingness with preferably previously untold or unshared stories, performances, workshops to even recipes. So only truth, curiosity, diversity and no selling, no corporate bullshit. Stuff that shows the people behind great works. Together with the willingness and openness to share their personal stories and to take part in workshops and social interaction — so not only for a 20 minute talk.
Mastermundo is never the same. It is an ongoing project, investigating how shared experiences can be enriched, can become more meaningful and on how true relations can be sparked between people that have never met each other before, hopefully leading into new relations and projects.
