Today I was a speaker at Design Mind Salon together with Tjeerd Hoek of frog design and Bill Buxton from Microsoft. It was planned earlier, but some volcano ash got in the way, so Bill couldn’t make it. I had a great time and some great talks. Thanks!

Volgende week vrijdag ben ik spreker op de design mind Salon sessie in Amsterdam op vrijdag 23 april, 2010, 14:00 – 18.00 uur, georganiseerd door Microsoft en frog design. Onderwerp: How Design Triggers Transformation – in Innovation, Business, Art and Technology. Belangrijkste spreker is Bill Buxton, Principal Researcher bij Microsoft en een volhardende voorstander van innovation, design, en the human aspects bij het opstarten, implementeren, en in gebruik nemen van nieuwe produkten en technologieen. En daarna Tjeerd Hoek, Executive Creative Director bij frog design. Tjeerd is een expert in het bereiken van naadloze integratie tussen digitale en fysieke platformen. Hij heeft user interfaces ontwikkeld voor enkele van de meest gebruikte produkten en platforms over de gehele wereld. En dan ik :)

23 April I will one of the keynote speakers at a invitation only event by frog design and Microsoft, with as a special guest from Bill Buxton Principal Researcher at Microsoft USA and Tjeerd Hoek of frog design. All I can say is that you really want to be on that guest list! I will also be speaking at Nationale Marketingdag 2010 and at BNA, to help small architecture studio’s presenting themselves.

Got this book today from Till and Tjeerd at frog design Amsterdam, a fine line — how design strategies are shaping the future of business. Written by the founder of frog, Hartmut Esslinger. I had already bought it a while ago, now some time to actually read it. Thanks guys!

I instantly became a fan of the design mind magazine, a self-published magazine by frog design when I got one by Till Grusche, Marketing Manager Europe at frog. It’s a great update on what’s happening in the world through a design lens. It beats most of the design magazines out there. I got the three latest editions today, but you can also buy them or become friends with frog, now also in Amsterdam!
