Whoo! We’re done. The program is jam-packed. Nothing else fits in. So prepare for 150 speakers, a truckload of workshops, great people and nice food

These passports hold the new formed identity of Stad&Esch, where we have been working on in co-creation with the entire staff of Stad&Esch, parents, students and external people.

Ideeën, overtuigingen, plannen voor de nieuwe RSG Stad & Esch en Rechterenschool.
Een manifest, juni 2011.

A layered design approach. Something old, something new, something borrowed, something remixed into something flexible.
Organization/brand level
Based on the decisions we made last year, we have defined the design on this most simple level. It is the content, the people and everything else that makes PICNIC into PICNIC. So PICNIC will be simple, no fuzz black

To create internal awareness for the identity project, we created these posters showing real students with their ambitions. They were placed through all locations of the school, to start conversations.

Deeply enjoying to work on this project with Roel, Ellen and Jaap of A2Q.

For the 2010 edition we created five images that represent the five PICNIC ‘10 themes: Redesign the world (blue), Redesign life (pink), Redesign design (yellow), Redesign media (purple) and Redesign the city (green). We chose for a heart-shaped balloon held by people as the recognizable element for this edition. The balloons visualize the different themes

Today we did the shooting for the PICNIC 2010 campaign imagery with Maurice Mikkers. We shot a load of images of a wide variety of shirts and clothing on several models while they held a balloon for their head. Initially, we used helium for it. But after a while we changed a pair

Just got these great pics from Michael from Nothing. Great to see it as an actual product instead of the prototypes. If you want to try out one-2-ten yourself, visit one of the citizenM hotels in Amsterdam.

Veronica Holding is renamed to V-Ventures, a name that better suits the activities. With the new name comes a new identity — following the VMediaLab style: blacks, grays and a touch of white, clean and sophisticated.
As part of the association Veronica, V-Ventures is a Dutch media organization that has always been on the pioneering frontiers

The internal campaign for Nuon comes to an end. We created a lot of supporting items to activate the program Boer&Croon implemented: posters, internal newsletters, placemats to flyers. Was fun and nice working with and for B&C!

I was commissioned by Boer&Croon for an internal campaign for Nuon. A fun project to work on, making a sort of a fictitious airliner.

by Hartmut Esslinger of frog design
Got this book today from Till and Tjeerd at frog design Amsterdam, a fine line — how design strategies are shaping the future of business. Written by the founder of frog, Hartmut Esslinger. I had already bought it a while ago, now some time to actually read it. Thanks guys!

I instantly became a fan of the design mind magazine, a self-published magazine by frog design when I got one by Till Grusche, Marketing Manager Europe at frog. It’s a great update on what’s happening in the world through a design lens. It beats most of the design magazines out there. I got the three latest editions today, but you can also buy them or become friends with frog, now also in Amsterdam!

Had the pleasure to work in a dream team on a beautiful project. The team consisted of Boer&Croon, Access to Quality, Fabrique Design & Communicatie, TAXI Europe and me. It’s so great to work with great people. We

StartHub is an initiative by Erwin Blom. It will follow the Dutch tech startup scene for a year, what will result in news, interviews, how-to’s and get-togethers which will lead to a handbook Startups. Of course you will be able to follow this project

What I like to do when starting designing something new, is directly putting it in motion to see what happens when things come alive. In this case, for StartHub, which is another new project I work on together with

More good news: we also won a silver ED Award for the visual identity of Expatcenter, in the category Brand Implementation. Made in a team at Fabrique.
