Wat betekent design voor de muziekindustrie? Hoe belangrijk is het visuele aspect nog in een tijd waar downloads, mp3-spelers en iTunes niet meer weg te denken zijn uit het tijdsbeeld en de magie van de platenhoes is teruggebracht naar een jpegje in een applicatie? Oordeel niet te snel! Je kunt je vergissen. Specialisten uit de muziekindustrie en de ontwerpwereld laten hun licht schijnen op dit thema met uiteraard een stortvloed aan beeld en spetterende muziek!

The Dutch Design books are published every two years by BIS Publishers and BNO, showing an uncensored cross-section of the current state of affairs in Dutch design, representing over 300 agencies. …,staat created the concept and design for the 2006/2007 edition. This edition’s nearly 1000-page set is all about the question: “What exactly is real Dutch Design?” Various key players in different design areas were asked this very question – from Stefan Sagmeister and Wim Crouwel to Anton Corbijn and Marc Newson. You will find their answers and thoughts in Real Dutch Design 0607, together with the work of more than 300 Dutch design agencies. The set consists of two books and is all about contrast in material and contrast in design – fluorescent plastic combined with basic cardboard binds the pages together. Between these contradictory extremes, everything is possible. Real Dutch Design can be read from either side, and is published in a Dutch-German-English edition.
