CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT | SHAPE SESSION #2

The 1rst and 2nd year students are working on two projects, see below. After a month of finding clarifying what it is, a month of exploring opportunities, this month they’re shaping their concepts with the help of a broad variety of guests. The second session Roeland P. Landegent and Aad Bijlo joined to further deepen and broaden the concepts the students worked on.

Subjects:
1. Concept development for the Neonatology division of Isala Klinieken in Zwolle, that pioneers with technology in their Intensive Care. We are working on the question: how can we facilitate bonding between parents and their little premature child or little brothers and sisters? Using technology, making it simple instead of complex for normal people? In other words: how can we use technology to create a strong connection between people?

2. Concept development for a publisher named Ambrasoft, which is currently in the market-leading position of educational software for children in the grammar school age. They asked us to join in on the thinking process because they are aware that the current software will be out of date in the near future, both technically and design/interface/feel-wise. This process will have to be finished in 2012.
