Putting Alfons in this Heroes list feels like sharing a secret ingredient. Actually, he should be everyone’s secret ingredient. Alfons and his family own a small firm with the most high-end equipment to transform any building, car, space or a simple sticker into something nice, just how you want it to be. They are true craftsmen who only go for the highest quality, being in business for over 40 years, but always invested in the newest technologies. Jan, his dad is just as brilliant. He started the firm, painting cars by hand. You should see their photobooks from the 70’s and 80’s they have, with pictures of most of the projects they did. So nice.

Alfons always helps me out on projects, I think for over 15 years already. From prototyping book covers, simulating silk-screen prints, making miniature models of cars as if they would be life size to building expositions, transforming spaces and whatever is needed. Knowing the Dolsma family dramatically enriched my capabilities as a designer. And they are truly nice people as well.
