I spend a lot of time in trains travelling to work, to people I know or to basically go anywhere. Up to recently over 20 hours per week. I see a lot of people. ëMeetingí would be a too big word for it. Isnít it strange, that while being within a group of people constantly, you hardly meet new people, get to know people? During my daily travels, they mostly hop on and off while Iím one of the few people remaining. For a certain period I tried to put those people on paper, to catch their essence, in one minutes or less. Catching people in ink. A snapshot. Wondering who they are, what they do and where they are heading. What has remained is a couple notebooks full of faces. Faces that became people when I drew them, but became anonymous faces again over time.
